4titude® 96 and 384 well FrameStar™ plates

As throughputs in molecular biology get higher, there is strong demand to avoid loss of important samples through evaporation and to save costly reagents by downsizing setup volumes.
Consumables can contribute to avoiding loss of samples through superiour sealing properties.
A decisive criterion for tight sealing is freedom from shape changes during cycling or as a result of cycling.
Over the last years, 4titude has worked to build up the world´s largest product range of 2 component FrameStar® PCR plates for all kinds of cyclers. The 2 component technology is proven to achieve better sealing with both heat and adhesive seals as the outer rigid Polycarbonate frame prevents shape changes of the plate that weaken the bond between PCR plate and seal.

Heat and Adhesive Sealing Solutions

At 4titude® Ltd., we have extensive experience with different sealing materials, both adhesive and heat-seal, especially in the qPCR field where high fluorescence transparency is demanded.
Heat sealing provides a good option for miniaturization as it tends to be tighter and more reproducible than adhesive sealing.
We constantly add new sealing materials to our product range and thus add new applications like the first use of heatseal in cell culture, improved chemical resistance of materials or ability to heatseal new consumable materials. NEW 4s2 Automated Heat Sealer - The First Automated Sealer at the Cost of Manual Intruments

Heat sealing has long been acknowledged as the gold standard for safely closing plates, however it used to be impaired by seal-to-seal operator variations on manual instruments. With the NEW 4s2 Heat Sealer, 4titude presents the first automated sealer for sheetwise operation at the budget price level of manual sealers.
The 4s2 Heat Sealer allows reproducible, successful sealing on all types of plates up to 50mm height without change to the instrument. Evenness and seal quality are unmatched and surpass the sealing results of manual instruments by far. Together with our novel sealing materials this opens new applications like PCR assay miniaturization or heat sealing of Polystyrene consumbles.
