Cepheid develops, manufactures, and markets fully-integrated
systems that enable genetic and DNA analysis of patients and
organisms by automating complex manual laboratory procedures.
The Smart Cycler is a DNA amplification and detection system initially
directed at the life sciences research market. Cepheid is now focusing
its efforts on those applications where rapid genetic and DNA testing
is particularly important, such as the infectious disease, biothreat
and cancer testing markets. In particular, we have designed our
systems to be capable of use in genetic management of disease, performing
a broad range of genetic tests that include identifying infectious
organisms, evaluating at-risk populations for the early detection
of disease such as cancer, determining the stage of the disease and
assessing what might be the most effective therapy. We have also designed
our systems to rapidly detect food, air and water contaminants through
genetic identification of disease causing agents.
Our GeneXpert system, currently in the final
stages of development, integrates automated sample preparation
with our Smart Cycler amplification and detection technology.
The GeneXpert system is the a genetic analysis system that integrates
automated sample preparation with genetic analysis, while also
offering customers a complete testing system comprised of both instrumentation
and disposable cartridges containing all necessary reagents for
a particular test.

TIB MOLBIOL was 1990 one of the first suppliers of oligonucleotides in Europe.
We produce FRET probes, SimpleProbe probes, and dual labeled/quenched probes
for use in Real-Time PCR amplification detection, supporting all kinds of
qPCR instruments. Our products include a broad spectrum of advanced building
blocks including LNA bases, and fluorophore labeles spanning the visible spectrum
from UV to IR. We are spezialized in design and production of PCR assays.
Using the new MegaStokes dyes from Dyomics we can manufacture TaqMan probes
for duplex PCR detection using the established Roche Diagnostics LightCycler®
1.0 instrument (channel F2). The MegaStokes dyes will allow a much simpler
technology for future qPCR instruments.

TTP LabTech supplies
Mosquito, a liquid handling technology which
uses disposable pipettes to dispense accurate, nanoliter
aliquots of compounds or cells with zero cross-contamination.
Mosquito enables low volume assay preparation such
as qPCR at 2ul in a standard 384 well format. Mosquito can
use most SBS-footprint microtitre plates from 96 to 1536
well format, including numerous application-specific plates. |
|
Mosquito is controlled
by easy-to-use Windows(tm) software. Users
select plates and create protocols by drag-and-drop,
and calibrating the instrument is straightforward. The
software gives a real-time view of the progress of each
run and logs every aspirate and dispense operation. It
also exposes a Visual Basic(tm) compatible automation
interface for integrated applications.
|
|
TTP LabTech also
sell low-volume protein source plates and hanging-drop
plate seals.
